The baseplate and collar (into which the filter cassette fits) adhere to the neck, sealing around the stoma. Baseplates are available in three different materials, to suit your stoma:
Suitable for very smooth, round flat stomas.
For when a large surface area is needed for better adhesion, as with a voice prothesis.
Waterproof, less noticeable baseplates with strong adhesive.
The shower Shield fits onto the occlusion cap of the filter cassette.
The Shower Shield can be an ideal protector in outside windy conditions - by deflecting the wind away from the stoma.
