BACO is established as a major international ENT meeting attracting speakers and delegates worldwide ENT communities. Held every 3 years BACO is established as a major international ENT meeting attracting speakers and delegates from the UK and worldwide ENT communities. Taking place at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow, the conference will offer specific days dedicated to ENT Nurses, Audiologists, Speech and Language Therapists and the organisation Sound Seekers. As well as practical surgical demonstrations, there will also be live surgery links and cadaveric FESS and temporal bone dissections.

Kapitex is a specialist Airway Management Company focusing on devices to be placed in the Upper Airway to help in respiration and safe swallowing.

Celebrating the successes of children with a hearing or visual impairment

Yorkshire’s Sensory Stars will recognise and celebrate the successes and achievements of children with hearing and or sight loss across West Yorkshire, as well as their siblings and the volunteers who work with them. The hosts of Yorkshire’s Sensory Stars, coHearentVision, provide support for families living with sensory impairment, and raise funds to ensure they can continue providing their vital youth services across the region.

The children and young people nominated for these awards are truly inspirational. Their stories really demonstrate that anything can be achieved. Not only do they face the usual daily challenges of children in our society today, but they also have the additional challenge of living in a world without sight or sound, or both. These children learn to interpret their environment without the luxury of experiencing the intonation of a voice, or being able to see and feel another person’s body language. Many of the children shortlisted also have other disabilities.

Yorkshire’s Sensory Stars Awards will celebrate the amazing achievements of these children, while also acknowledging the fantastic support they receive. We can guarantee that you will be amazed, feel humble, and incredibly inspired.

The award ceremony will take place at the Marriott Hotel, 4 Trevelyan Square, Boar Lane^th July 2011. This promises to be a fabulous night, helping to raise funds for a great cause and celebrating these fabulous children. The event will consist of:

Three course star-themed meal, followed by coffee.
