If you like would like to receive laryngectomy and tracheostomy products from a specialist company dedicated to serving airway management for over 30 years, you can by choosing Kapitex Homecare.
The EPS is secure, confidential and nationally used, you will no longer have to visit your GP practice to collect your prescription. Instead, your GP will automatically send us your prescription electronically directly to Kapitex Homecare.
You choose which NHS dispenser you would like to receive your electronic prescription. This is called “nomination”.
You nominate (choose) your preferred NHS dispenser operating EPS eg. Kapitex Homecare.
You can ask your GP to complete your nomination on your behalf (or complete our FREEPOST reply card. You do not need a computer to use EPS.
This service saves you time visiting your GP surgery and Chemist to pick up your prescription. Instead your prescribed products delivered directly to your home.
If you want to change or cancel your nomination, speak to your GP practice, pharmacist or Kapitex Homecare before your next prescription is due to ensure you receive the right products to the right place.
The Kapitex Homecare RE-Mind service will remind you when it is time for you to reorder your airway management products. Our free service keeps you informed when it is time to place your next order/prescription.
The RE-Mind Prescription Service will email you before you need to reorder. We will let you know the previous product you received so you can decide what you need next time.
1) If your GP surgery agrees Kapitex Homecare can request the prescription on your behalf each month. This is called a third party request. Once this system is set up all you have to do is send us an email, text or call us, letting us know what you need.
2) request the repeat prescription via to your GP by their preferred route eg paper, email, online or telephone.
If you have chosen to use the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) we will automatically receive the prescription and dispense it directly to your home.
Alternatively if your GP practice is not set up with EPS, we will provide a FREEPOST envelope to your GP so that they can send a paper prescription directly to us, which we will dispense to your home upon receipt.
