Silcosoft

Tracoe® Silcosoft - the smaller the detail, the greater the value

The true size can be particularly important in children. Our new TRACOE kids product range consists of the tried and trusted TRACOE mini and the brand-new TRACOE silcosoft. The tracheostomy tubes in both these lines have been developed especially for neonates, infants and older children. We have focussed particularly on the flange design and the use of comfortable materials.

NEW! TRACOE silcosoft: very soft, flexible, spiral-reinforced silicone tubes, with and without cuffs. Special features include the optimal shape of the flange and the patented, especially reinforced eyelets on the wings.

Our tried and trusted TRACOE mini is a soft, thin-walled but stable PVC tube that does not contain DEHP. The flange has a sloping under surface to optimise the fit.

The ’Silicone’

The material properties of silicone are particularly beneficial to young patients: well tolerated, free from latex and DEHP, and easy to insert. It is less likely to become encrusted and is easy to clean. silcosoft tubes can be re-used up to seven times.

Obturator with ring-shaped grip

The specially designed obturator is extremely practical. The ring-shaped grip ensures that the tube can be inserted safely and easily, despite its small size.

The H2O Cuff

When the cuff is deflated, it is close and tight to the tube. It is filled with up to 2 ml of sterile water. The cuff acts as a seal to prevent the aspiration of food and saliva from the pharynx and the unwanted escape of air during ventilation.
